Bombardier (TSX:BBD.A) has awarded 26 of its suppliers with Diamond certification, in recognition of their operational performance for 2023.

The Canadian aerospace stock recognizes its suppliers across three categories – production, indirect goods and services, as well as aftermarket. Bombardier Diamond suppliers have met the operational performance levels needed to qualify in these specific categories for the 2023 calendar year.

“Rewarding suppliers for their sustained operational performance and innovation not only acknowledges their important contributions to our business, but also helps foster a culture of excellence and collaboration that drives mutual success,” Shauna Gamble, Bombardier’s chief procurement officer, said in a news release. “We are very pleased to be able to celebrate the achievements of our 26 Diamond award winners for 2023, each of whom have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to maintaining strong operations that will benefit our customers, facilities and worldwide service network.”

Bombardier introduced a separate category this year for “outstanding partnership,” awarded to RAMM Aerospace, based on alliance, collaboration coupled with exceptional customer support and services. Next year, Bombardier will also launch the environmental sustainability supplier award.

Based in Montréal, Bombardier designs, builds, modifies and maintains aircraft for business and defence. Its customers operate a fleet of about 5,000 aircraft across the world with support from 10 service centres across six countries.

Bombardier stock (TSX:BBD.A) last traded at C$91.09 and is flying 71.19 per cent higher since the year began.
