Americas-based miner Kodiak Copper (KDK) has appointed Kevin Tomlinson to the company’s board of directors.

Kevin has worked as a structural geologist and investment banker for more than 35 years, and has experience in the exploration, development and financing of mining projects around the globe.

In the last two decades Kevin has worked for a number of notable mining companies including Centamin, Orbis Gold and Medusa Mining. Currently, Kevin is based in London and acts as Chairman for TSXV- and ASX-listed Cardinal Resources.

Claudia Tornquist, President and CEO of Kodiak was are “delighted” to welcome Kevin to the company’s board.

“It speaks to the quality of the opportunity inherent in Kodiak’s project portfolio that we were able to attract someone of his international calibre. Kevin’s impressive track record in building and financing successful exploration and mining companies, and his wealth of professional and Board experience will truly benefit our board and shareholders,” she said.

Making way for the incoming director, current director Gary Schellenberg is retiring from the board, after serving the company for around six years.

Commenting on his departer, Claudia extended her sincere thanks to Gary for his invaluable guidance and support of Kodiak.

“As a founding director, Gary has been involved right from the start and was instrumental in growing the Company to where it is today. It has been a genuine pleasure working with Gary and I wish him well for his future endeavours,” she added.

Kodiak Copper is down 5.59 per cent and is trading at C$1.35 per share at 11:58am EST.
