CENTR Brands (CNTR) has hired current Board member and former Carlyle Group Principal David Young as its new CFO.

Mr. Young has more than 20 years of executive and financial leadership experience drawing on roles in both industry and private equity. Besides The Carlyle Group, he worked for Perella Weinberg Partners and as a director of Talara Capital Management.

He is also an alumni of and guest lecturer at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.

As CFO, David will oversee the company’s financial and accounting activities, including long-term strategic growth and investment initiatives to support the company’s ongoing market expansion. 

Mr. Young’s appointment allows current President and CFO Arjan Chima to prioritize commercial and marketing opportunities, including scaling the company’s distribution and product offerings underlying its ongoing growth.
