Trillion Energy (TCF) is reporting a higher natural gas price from its SASB gas field in the Black Sea.

The new price of US$30.68/Mcf is effective as of September 1, 2022.

Regional natural gas prices in Turkey have steadily increased this year. The September high of US$31.68 was up 47 per cent over last month and nearly 350 per cent over the average price in 2021.

Trillion attributes the higher prices to a Nord Stream pipeline shut down, nuclear power shut down in Germany, and the conflict in Ukraine.

Arthur Halleran, Trillion’s CEO, sat down with Daniella Atkinson to discuss the news.

“We believe the recent price increases will significantly enhance the economic performance of our seven-well drilling program set to commence next week at the SASB gas field. With seven wells producing, we will supply the region with much-needed natural gas in a time of acute shortages and high prices.”

Trillion Energy International is an oil and gas producer with assets throughout Turkey and Bulgaria.

Trillion Energy (TCF) opened trading at C$0.495 per share.
