iMetal Resources (IMR) has identified new quartz veins from a recent drone magnetics survey on the Gowganda West Property in Ontario.

The survey at its Shining Tree block involved a total of 20 separate drone flights over two days. According to the company, historic exploration at Shining Tree has been limited, especially on iMetal’s claims.

During the drone survey, preliminary identification and the sampling of outcrops were also performed. As a result, quartz veins were observed in numerous locations. Initial interpretation of the drone magnetics appears to confirm the largely North-South trending geologic fabric in the area.

The final interpretation and results from mapping and grab samples will be used to plan iMetal’s future exploration programs. The company plans to follow up on these results next year.

Saf Dhillon, CEO of iMetal, stated,

“The Shining Tree District is actively being explored by numerous companies for gold… Preliminary survey results, as well as initial prospecting, have increased our immediate interest in our Shining Tree claim group.”

iMetal is a junior exploration company focused on the exploration and development of its portfolio of resource properties in Ontario and Quebec. The Gowganda West property is one of its flagship assets.

iMetal Resources Inc. (IMR) is up 2.56 per cent and is trading at $0.20 per share as of 2:03 p.m. EST.
