Ashley Gold (CSE:ASHL) released new assays from phase-3 drilling on its Tak project, the recent extension of the company’s Burnthut project in Ontario, highlighted by 3.333 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 60 metres (m) from 24 m depth, including 229 g/t gold over 0.65 m from 63.15 m depth.

The intercept, from drillhole TAK-26-16, represents the company’s and the property’s best result to date and was achieved in less than 2,000 m of diamond drilling.

This article is a journalistic opinion piece which has been written based on independent research. It is intended to inform investors and should not be taken as a recommendation or financial advice.

Tak is located on the northeastern portion of the Goliath gold complex and features a more than 1-kilometre resistive body flanked by two chargeable units that, alongside phase-1 drilling, substantiate the project’s trio of high-priority zones.

According to Friday’s news release, assays from four phase-3 drillholes remain pending, with four phase-4 drillholes completed to date, all of which will determine the extent of further exploration in the vicinity of TAK-26-16.

Leadership commentary

“It is my pleasure to present this result to our investors and the markets. I was of the belief that the historic holes did not fully represent the potential of the Tak, and these assays confirm that. TAK-26-16 delivered not only our best company intercept, but the best in the recorded history of the patents. We are consistently improving our understanding of the property and this drill result is a testament to that. From our acquisition in early 2026 and following validation of historic drilling, we have begun to move away from historic areas as we explore the system. The discovery of high-grade gold so close to the surface is a game-changer,” Noah Komavli, President of Ashley Gold, said in a statement.

“In both orogenic and QFP settings, gold is rarely distributed evenly. High-grade shoots or vein swarms can act as the anchor of a broader mineral system where a single high-grade shoot can contain the majority of a system’s total ounces, despite occupying a fraction of its volume. The fact that we encountered multiple high-grade sections within a broader altered and mineralized envelope near surface will help put Tak on the map. I really look forward to future detailed follow-up to help unfold the next chapter of this increasingly exciting story,” added Shannon Baird, Ashley’s Exploration Manager.
