ACME Lithium Inc. (ACME) has begun a phase two drilling program at the Clayton Valley Nevada lithium brine project in the U.S.

Following the phase one drill program, which discovered lithium brine, the company’s phase two will drill, install, and test a large diameter test well known as TW-1.

A pumping test will be completed from TW-1 to assess hydraulic response, permeability, and storage parameters of the lithium-enriched aquifer. Alongside this, a multi-element brine sampling program will be completed to assess the hydrochemical response to pumping.

The company stated up to three new exploration holes have been included in the program to examine the characteristics of the known prospective lithium brine aquifer in the lower gravel unit intercepted in hole DH-1. The program will also focus on assessing the potential for lithium brine continuity with the regional reservoir in Clayton Valley.

ACME’s Clayton Valley Nevada lithium brine project is contiguous to the Albemarle’s Silver Peak lithium deposit which has been in production since 1966 and is the only lithium-producing region in the country.

ACME Lithium Inc. (ACME) is up 6.25 per cent, trading at $0.68 per share as of 2:27 p.m. EST.
