Affinor Growers (CSE:AFI) updates on its Abbotsford Greenhouse Project

Affinor Growers has provided an update regarding its Abbotsford, BC 15,000 square foot greenhouse building.

In December of last year, the company implemented new management who has been focused on completing the company’s first commercial automated vertical farmhouse.

As it currently stands, purchase orders have been made for all construction and electrical work, which includes parts and labor to finish the construction of the building.

Additionally, a BC Hydro 600V 400A power upgrade has been applied for in order to work with the company’s contractor.

Following the power upgrade, the company anticipates finalizing a planting and launch date for strawberry and romaine lettuce production.

“Our new management is focused on getting this facility up and running as fast as possible and launching this very high-profile, state of the art, automated vertical farming technology and processes to the world stage,” Nick Brusatore, CEO of Affinor Growers, said in a release.

Moving forward, the company anticipates submitting to Health Canada an application for a micro-cultivation license, including a cannabis evidence package, before summer 2021.

Based in Vancouver, BC, Affinor Growers is focused on vertical farming technologies to grow fruits, vegetables and cannabis in a sustainable way.

Shares of Affinor Growers were down 9.09 per cent to C$0.05 as of 10:43 a.m. EDT.
