Amex Exploration (AMX) has drilled a total of 36 holes at the Denise Zone to date.

The Denise Zone is part of the Eastern Gold Zone (EGZ) of the Perron project where drilling has been focused on expanding and defining the zone.

Today’s results are focused on near surface and on-strike expansion, as well as definition drilling of the Denise Zone as the company, works towards its maiden resource on the Perron Project.

One hole intersected 44.8 metres of 8.25 g/t gold, including 0.5 metres of 602 g/t gold, at a vertical depth of approximately 230 metres.

Other highlights include 1.22 g/t gold over 64.75 metres, 2.38 g/t gold over 6.5 metres, and 1.36 g/t gold over 10.5 metres.

In addition to these results, Amex is awaiting results on over 9,500 samples at three labs from holes targeting the HGZ, Denise, QF Zone, and Grey Cat Zone, as well as regional exploration drilling.

Jacques Trottier, Executive Chairman of Amex Exploration, commented on the results.

“We are very pleased to see Denise growing as this zone has the potential to add meaningful near surface ounces to the overall gold resource at Perron,” he said. “Today’s results indicate that Denise is a system that exhibits both low-grade bulk tonnage and higher-grade vein type tendencies.”

The company’s top priority moving forward is to continue expanding the Denise zone.

“One of the major near-term goals of our coming winter drilling season,” added Mr. Trottier, “is to test the expansion potential of Denise to the East along strike for at least a kilometre.”

Amex Exploration is a mining exploration company based in the Abitibi region of Quebec.

Shares in Amex Exploration Inc. (AMX) are up 3.10 per cent, trading at $2.99 per share as of 2:56 pm ET.
