Asante Gold (ASE) has released new drill results from the South Russel prospect on the Bibiani Gold Mining Lease.

The company reported additional drill intercepts up to 17.2 metres down hole grading at 4.47g/t Au. Significant gold mineralization has been intersected at shallower depths and from surface.

To date, Asante has confirmed more than 200 metres strike length of mineralization and has followed up on drilling from discovery hole MGRCD21-047. The gold mineralized system remains open along strike and at depth.

These assay results give the team a strong indication of potential for gold endowment at the southern portion of the Bibiani Mining Lease.

The company’s President, and CEO, Dave Anthony called these additional assay results from the South Russel drilling program are exciting and confirms the significant exploration potential of the Bibiani gold corridor.

“The assay results received so far lends itself to possible satellite pit development at South Russel. We are pleased with the results of our exploration program and we look forward to continued success.”

Follow-up drill holes are planned to the south and north along strike of the recent intercepts.

Asante is a gold exploration, development, and operating company with a high-quality portfolio of projects in Ghana.

Asante Gold Corporation was down 5.93 per cent, trading at C$1.27 at 3:00 pm ET.
