Atomic Minerals (TSXV:ATOM) has revealed it has submitted an exploration permit application to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment for its 100-per-cent-owned Bleasdell Lake Project in Northern Saskatchewan.

The company stated in a news release that it is seeking a multi-year permit to conduct ground-based geophysics and up to 4,000 metres of diamond drilling on three newly identified uranium target zones in addition to the historically drilled Horn and Jackpine zones

Atomic Minerals has engaged Grander Exploration to oversee the permitting application process.

“We are excited to advance our exploration efforts at Bleasdell Lake with this permit application,” Clive Massey, CEO of Atomic Minerals, said in a statement. “This is a significant step forward in expanding the project’s potential and solidifying our presence in one of Canada’s premier uranium exploration jurisdictions.”

The proposed work will begin after the permit approval, with the Atomic Minerals undertaking a program that will include geophysical surveys and diamond drilling across new and historical target areas.

The Bleasdell Lake property is host to a 1957 historic resource of 620,700 pounds of uranium oxide, identified within the Horn and Jackpine zones. The project is also approximately 95 kilometres southwest of Lynn Lake, Manitoba, and is east of the renowned Athabasca Basin.

Atomic Minerals’ property portfolio contains uranium projects in three locations within North America, all of which have significant technical merit or are known for hosting uranium production in the past.

Shares of Atomic Minerals (TSXV:ATOM) are up 20 per cent to C$0.06 as of 12:13 pm ET.
