Aton Resources Inc. (AAN) has released initial test results from exploration at its Rodruin project in Egypt.

Rodruin is located within the company’s Abu Marawat Concession in the Eastern Desert of Egypt.

Aton tested 10 samples from a variety of mineralization types found at Rodruin during the 2018 RC drilling program.

The samples showed up to 89.5 per cent gold recovery and up to 73.6 per cent silver recovery in initial testing, showing a strong correlation with the original RC drill assay results

Bill Koutsouras, interim CEO of Aton and board chair, commented on the “encouraging” results.

“These results already indicate that all the different mineralisation styles at Rodruin, including both oxide and sulphide material, will be amenable to conventional CIL processing techniques,” he said.

The company is moving forward with its exploration plans, with the construction of the new exploration camp well underway and expected to be completed in September.

The company is also preparing for its upcoming diamond drill program, which is scheduled to begin in September, according to a June 14 press release.

“Preparations for the upcoming diamond drilling programme at Rodruin and Hamama East are continuing apace with road and pad construction well underway,” said Mr. Koutsouras, “as well as the construction of the new Rodruin exploration camp.”

Aton Resources engages in the exploration and development of mineral properties in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Aton Resources Inc. (AAN) is steady, trading at $0.215 per share as of 10:56 am ET.
