Baylin (TSX:BYL) subsidiary secures multi-year contract

A subsidiary of Baylin Technologies (BYL) has been offered a contract with a U.S. computer hardware company for its embedded antenna solutions.

Baylin is a diversified global technology company and its subsidiary, Galtronics Corporation Ltd., works in the distributed antenna system, small cell, networking, and mobile markets to supply specific systems to meet broadband needs.

“Our embedded antenna team thrives on finding solutions to difficult problems and we are excited to have developed this product. This product will provide an ultra-fast connection and wide-ranging geographic coverage to customers,” Minya Gavrilovic, President of Galtronics U.S., said.

According to Baylin, Galtronics secured a multi-year contract with a U.S. customer and has shipped over $500,000 worth of products thus far.

Baylin stated the subsidiary would provide the antennas for a 5G mobile hotspot solution to allow customers to exploit a 5G internet connection with multi-gigabit speeds at home and on the go.

“Our engineering teams continue to provide high-quality solutions for our customers who require superior performance to optimize their products, their networks, and ultimately the end customer experience,” Leighton Carroll, CEO of Baylin, said.

Baylin Technologies Inc. (BYL) is up 2.33 per cent and is trading at $0.44 per share as of 11:15 a.m. ET.
