Bee Vectoring Technologies International (BEE) has been granted a patent for its fungicide technology in Brazil to use as a biological control agent in agriculture.

The company stated that the Brazil patent covers the use of the clonostachys rosea CR-7 microbial strain (CR-7) in any application method in any formulation for harvest yield improvement and disease control.

“We are making significant advancements in soybean seed treatment in the United States and extending the work into Brazil is the next logical step in scaling our business… a great opportunity for BVT to further market a foliar and soil-applied version of CR-7, and we are continuing to evaluate the opportunities for the bee vectoring process despite a more limited commercial pollination services industry compared to the United States,” Ashish Malik, CEO of Bee Vectoring, said.

The company has over 65 patents with an additional 35 pending throughout North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

The company has entered into debt settlement agreements for certain outstanding cash payments owed to creditors totalling $360,441. It issued an aggregate of 2.12 million common shares for $0.17 apiece.

Bee Vectoring is an agriculture technology company which has pioneered a natural precision agriculture system that replaces chemical pesticides and wasteful plant protection product spray applications by delivering biological pesticide alternatives to crops using commercially grown bees.

Bee Vectoring Technologies International Inc. (BEE) is up 11.11 per cent and is trading at $0.20 per share as of 11:41 p.m. ET.
