Benchmark Metals (BNCH) has released new results from exploration drilling at the Marmot zone of its flagship Lawyers Gold-Silver Project.

The mineralized system at the Marmot zone remains open in all directions and continues to display similarities to the resource deposit areas on the property.

The Marmot discoveries are approximately three kilometres southeast of the multi-million-ounce gold and silver deposits on the Lawyers project, which is located in the prolific Golden Horseshoe of British Columbia.

New drilling results include 2.81 g/t gold equivalent over 30 metres.

Of the planned 12,500 metres of drilling, approximately 5,000 metres have been completed to date at the Marmot zone.

John Williamson, CEO of Benchmark Metals, commented on the results.

“The Marmot zone continues to return significant gold and silver intercepts at-surface and at depth,” he said. “These new results help demonstrate the continuity of this mineralizing system as it continues to grow in scope and scale, with the potential to add significant gold-silver ounces that would be peripheral to our current resource zones.”

As the Marmot zone continues to evolve, initial drill results suggest the potential to define multiple zones over multiple structures that have delivered significant intervals of gold-silver mineralization to date.

Benchmark Metals Inc. is a Canadian-based gold and silver company.

Currently, shares in Benchmark Metals (BNCH) are up 2.86 per cent, trading at $1.08 per share as of 1:54 pm ET.
