BlackBerry (TSX:BB) has revealed its new cybersecurity advisor, Cylance Assistant, which will help organizations with decision-making and threat detection.
In a news release, the Waterloo, Ont.-based company stated the platform, which is a generative artificial intelligence (AI) cybersecurity advisor, will leverage the use of AI built into the platform.
Cylance Assitant aims to help detect more threats and enable organizations to make quicker decisions.
“Cylance Assistant understands context because it knows where you are in your investigation, reducing time spent identifying and remediating risks in a single platform without incurring additional costs for the service,” Shiladitya Sircar, senior vice president of product engineering and data science at BlackBerry, said in a statement.
The company also said that Cylance Assistant will leverage Amazon Web Services’ generative AI platform, Amazon Bedrock, to further help organizations enhance cybersecurity options.
Amazon Bedrock provides foundation model choice through a single API (application programming interface) for companies to build and scale generative AI applications.
BlackBerry provides intelligent security software and services to enterprises and governments worldwide, leveraging AI and machine learning to deliver innovative solutions in the areas of cybersecurity, safety and data privacy solutions.
