Blackrock Silver Corp. (BRC) has released new results from its 2021 drilling program at the Tonopah West Project.

Tonopah West is located in the Walker Lane trend of western Nevada, and has been the target of over 70,000 metres of drilling since June 15, 2020.

The expanded 2021 program is approximately 60 per cent complete, with three diamond core drills at the Victor and DPB targets and one RC drill at step-out holes northwest of the DPB target.

At the Victor and DPB targets, drilling intersected new high-grade gold and silver intercepts, including the following highlights:

  • 66 g/t gold and 376.0 g/t silver over 1.5 metres in hole TW21-095C at the Victor target
  • 372 g/t gold and 22.9 g/t silver over 4.6 metres in hole TW21-076 at the DPB target

Andrew Pollard, president and CEO of Blackrock Silver, commented on the results.

“As initial drill results roll in from our resource definition program at DPB, we’re excited to have encountered a new bonanza-grade zone on the Bermuda vein, which has given us the highest-grade core intercept to date across the entire project,” he remarked.

The Bermuda vein is a vertical vein in the DPB target that remains open to the east and west. One hole in the Bermuda vein indicated a true thickness of 2.25 metres at that interval.

“This represents a completely new high-grade zone,” he added, “one that is much shallower than previous intercepts, and gives us additional meat to chew on as we continue on our resource definition program.”

The step-out holes intercepted geologic lithologies that are consistent with the margin of a caldera, and are still being reviewed.

Blackrock Silver is a junior silver exploration company focused on a portfolio of properties in Nevada.

Blackrock Silver Corp. (BRC) is down 3.61 per cent, trading at $0.935 per share as of 3:49 pm ET.
