Boosh Plant-Based Brands (VEGI) has signed a share purchase agreement with Pulse Kitchen Specialty Foods.

Based in British Columbia, Pulse Kitchen makes plant-based, gluten-free cheese made from nuts, seeds, pulses, and other fine ingredients.

Its cheeses come in flavours including Sharp Cashew Cheddar, Almond Chevre, Dill Havarti, Almond Swiss, Vegan Pepper Jack, Cashew Kind of Blue, and Smoky Cashew Cheddar.

Shoppers can find Pulse Kitchen products in 250 stores across the country, including Whole Foods, Healthy Planet, Nature’s Fare, IGA, Fresh St Market, Choices, Urban Fare, and Nesters.

“I think joining the Boosh family is a perfect fit for us,” said Pulse Kitchen owner and founder Chef Stephanos Liapis. “Our products certainly take center stage on any charcuterie board and are equally enjoyed while snacking or adding to other dishes.”

Boosh will purchase all of Pulse Kitchen’s shares for a total of $300,000 in cash and 50,000 common shares over the twelve months following the closing date.

Boosh CEO Jim Pakulis welcomed Chef Liapis and his team to the Boosh team, saying,

“As we continue to execute on our business plan including our four-prong revenue stream model; organic growth, acquisition, US expansion and E-commerce, we continue to be in discussions with other plant-based acquisition candidates who are looking for access to capital and a corporate infrastructure designed for growth.”

Boosh Plant-Based Brands produces high-quality, 100% plant-based gluten-free, non-GMO nutritious comfort foods for the whole family.

Boosh Plant-Based Brands (VEGI) is currently down 3.17 per cent, trading at $1.22 per share as of 2:21 pm ET.
