Boralex (BLX) has appointed Nicolas Mabboux as Vice President, Information Technology and Digital Transformation, effective today.

Mabboux joins Boralex’s Executive Committee to prioritize the company’s use of technology to grow and evolve with the changing industry.

Patrick Decostre, President and Chief Executive Officer of Boralex commented on the appointment.

“Nicolas’s expertise, extensive knowledge of best practices and versatility are key assets for Boralex. It will be key in the deployment of our Strategic Plan. His appointment will enable us to accelerate and operationalize our digital transformation to achieve our ambitious targets for 2025.”

Mabboux has a strong record in information technology both in consulting and in business.  He was involved in several business transformations, digital delivery across utilities, mining and transportation industries, optimizing both the business and operations functions. He has worked with leading companies such as Accenture, in France and Quebec, and with Canadian National Railway in Quebec for the past 5 years.

Boralex is an electric utility company which develops, constructs, and operates renewable energy power facilities The company controls a portfolio of electricity producing plants that utilize wind, hydroelectric, thermal, and solar fuel sources. Most of Boralex’s plants rely on wind power, while a significant number also employ hydroelectric power.

The company generates the vast majority of its revenue from the sale of energy through long-term contracts to customers in Canada, France, and the United States. Boralex’s wind and hydroelectric power stations, located in Canada and France, account for most of this revenue and total power production.

Boralex Inc. (BLX) was down 0.37 per cent, trading at C$40.85 per share at 12:50 pm ET.
