Britannia Life Sciences (BLAB) has signed purchase agreements with Chrysos Corporation Limited.

Chrysos will deliver an additional ten Chrysos PhotonAssay units, increasing the total number of lease agreements by BMS to twelve.

BMS, supported by a distinguished group of mining investors and advisors, was established to provide technology-enabled solutions to the global mining industry by setting up laboratories to address the global backlog in minerals assays.

Concerning the additional PhotonAssay units, Peter Shippen, CEO of Britannia, stated, “Like Chrysos, our Britannia Mining Solutions team has an unwavering commitment to creating exceptional market value.”

“The signing of these ten new PhotonAssay lease agreements reflects the desire of both organizations to deliver unparalleled customer service through faster, safer and more sustainable assaying technologies,” added Shippen.

The first PhotonAssay unit is expected to be deployed in September 2023.

Based on discussions with various mining companies regarding their assay needs, BMS now expects to deploy the first PhotonAssay unit in Montreal, Quebec, where it will serve as Britannia’s first regional hub.

The company is looking to expand globally in more markets.

Chrysos PhotonAssay technology addresses the many challenges of legacy assay processes, some of which include safety and sustainability, with a significantly faster sample turnaround time.

The PhotonAssay solution results in as little as two minutes and eliminates the need for toxic chemicals used in the slower, more hazardous fire assay process.

On expanding its relationship with BMS, Chrysos Corporation Managing Director and Chief Executive Dirk Treasure stated, “These PhotonAssay leases signal a significant expansion of the existing relationship between Chrysos and Britannia Mining Solutions. We are particularly excited by BMS’ targeted approach to rolling out its PhotonAssay units.”
