The Canadian Electricity Association (CEA) has selected NexTech AR Solutions’ (NTAR) InfernoAR platform for use at its annual summit.

The CEA’s annual Powering Partnerships Summit brings together electricity sector CEOs, council and committee chairs, corporate partners, and elected officials from Canada and around the world.

It is often attended by CEA membership groups like Toronto Hydro, Ontario Power, TC Energy (TSX:TRP), and others.

This year, in light of the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, NexTech AR will transform the event into a completely virtual collaborative experience.

Using the InfernoAR platform, the summit’s keynote addresses, award sessions, and panel discussions will be streamed online. This will allow stakeholders to safely attend and participate in the summit, from anywhere in the world.

NexTech AR’s CEO, Evan Gappelberg, said the company is thrilled to provide its platform and services to the Canadian Electricity Association.

“The presentations at CEA’s 2020 Virtual Powering Partnerships Summit will focus on resilient transformation, and there is no better way to honour that than by incorporating transformational change into the way their events are hosted during the pandemic,” he said.

“Like many industry leaders, electricity executives are navigating a great deal of changes and uncertainty today,” he added.

Evan went on to say that InfernoAR is well-suited to provide these industry leaders with a secure and reliable platform that will enable collaboration and spark innovation.

The CEA’s online event will take place across four days, from November 23 to November 26, 2020.

NexTech AR Solutions is up 5.34 per cent and is trading for C$7.30 per share, as of 12:27pm EST.
