Colibri Resource Corporation (CBI) and Silver Spruce Resources (SSE) have reported positive assay results from the Diamante Gold and Silver Project.

Significant base metal values found from multiple targets spread across the concessions validate historical data and are contributing to target prioritization planning.

Greg Davison, Silver Spruce Vice-President Exploration and Director commented,

“We are pleased to report [gold] values to 51.5 grams per tonne from silicified breccias in the Calton target, the highest [gold] grade yet reported from Diamante, and [silver] values over 1,000 grams per tonne were recorded from base metal sulphide-bearing veins at Pillado, El Chon and El Cumbro.”

With a drilling permit now in possession, the companies plan to award contracts for the initial 2,000 metres of drilling on first-priority targets at La Prieta, Calton, Pillado and Aguaje with El Chon Oeste and Mezquite Raizudo to follow.

The current assays are consistent with historical surface and channel samples previously taken.

Most of the drill targets are polymetallic vein style and precious metal-dominant targets were identified at Calton, El Chon, El Chone Oeste and Aguaje. Metal zoning or pulses of mineralization may be indicated at each of these locations.

High-resolution mapping and review of the historical reports identified abundant additional surface workings. It was mainly small exploratory pits, some with artisanal mining exhibiting an individual tunnel.

The targets now planned for phase 1 drilling include La Prieta, Aguaje and Pillado and Calton. El Chon, El Chon Oeste and Mezquite-Raizudo targets also are permitted for drilling and available as warranted.

Colibri Resource Corporation (CBI) is up 12.50 per cent trading at $0.09 per share as of 3:52 p.m. ET.

Silver Spruce Resources (SSE) is up 16.67 per cent trading at $0.03 per share as of 3:53 p.m. ET.
