Crew Energy’s (CR) natural gas and liquids production from its BC development area is certified under the Equitable Origin EO100 standard.

The certification recognizes Crew’s methods for environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance in the energy sector.

A team of approved third-party assessors from AECOM Canada Ltd. conducted an in-depth and independent assessment of the company’s operations to review its alignment with the five principles of the EO100 standard.

This includes corporate governance, transparency and ethics, human rights, social impacts and community engagement, Indigenous peoples’ rights, fair labour and working conditions, as well as climate change, biodiversity, and the environment.

The EO100 standard aims to promote the transition to more transparent, responsible, and sustainable energy development operations.

Crew’s President and CEO, Dale Shwed, said that his company’s ESG practices have been recognized through the rigorous EO100 certification.

“We have strived to continuously reflect our values of high integrity and ethical behaviour across all aspects of our business. Achieving this independent EO100 certification demonstrates our success to date and sets the stage for continued improvement in our efforts to create value for our shareholders in a responsible and sustainable way.”

Crew Energy is a Calgary-based natural gas and liquids producer. The company’s operations are located in northeast British Columbia. They feature a vast Montney resource with a large contiguous land base in the Greater Septimus and Groundbirch areas in British Columbia.
