Desert Mountain Energy (DME) has powered up its McCauley Helium Processing Facility in Arizona.

The facility is utilizing compressed natural gas generators but will soon transition to solar energy with battery storage units en route.

The milestone follows completion of high-pressure testing of all facility components, X-raying of all welds to detect potential defects and a helium processing agreement with PetroSun.

Partner GENERON will fabricate and install custom components within 10-14 days to optimize performance during elevated summer temperatures.

Desert Mountain will continue to work through numerous throughput, gaseous chemical mixtures and final product purity levels over its 90-day optimization program.

“We are pleased with the excellent job performance and on-site fabrication services that our installation crews did for us since taking delivery of the plant,” said Robert Rohlfing, Desert Mountain’s CEO. “Working through the final details on a project that is this complex is time-consuming but necessary.”

Desert Mountain Energy is primarily focused on the exploration, development and production of helium, hydrogen and other noble gases.

Desert Mountain Energy (DME) is up by 2.46 per cent, trading at $2.50 per share as of 10:46 am EST.
