DIRTT Environmental Solutions (DRT) has opened its newest manufacturing plant in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

The addition of DIRTT’s Rock Hill plant further enables its clients to rapidly design, build, and update their environments as they resume construction projects that were paused or cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Organizations need their spaces built and operational quickly, and with minimal disruptions,” says Kevin O’Meara, DIRTT’s CEO.

“Reducing risk around schedule, budget and resource availability, and the ability to scale quickly are key factors driving construction decisions today.

“Our state-of-the-art Rock Hill facility allows us to meet customers’ growing needs,” he added, “with additional capacity by leveraging the latest in automation and robotics.”

The Rock Hill plant will operate in a leased, custom-built 130,000 square foot building, representing an $18.5 million investment. It is designed to maximize the manufacture of wall tiles, a key component of DIRTT’s construction system.

Jeff Calkins, COO of DIRTT, commented,

“Innovations like the technology we are using at Rock Hill dramatically reduce the time it takes to manufacture our solutions.”

The new location also reduces shipping costs and transport times for customers located on the Eastern seaboard. DIRTT chose the Rock Hill location because it offers improved service to the Southeastern United States by balancing the production facilities in Western Canada.

DIRTT Environmental Solutions, a manufacturer of customized interiors, is a building process powered by technology.

The company uses its proprietary 3D software to design, manufacture, and install fully customized interior environments.

DIRTT Environmental Solutions Ltd. (DRT) is down 0.47 per cent on the day, trading at $4.24 per share as of 2:48 pm ET.
