Drone company, Draganfly (CSE:DFLY) is launching the Draganflyer Commander Ag-Pro Package, for use in the agricultural industry.

The new product is the result of a collaborative partnership with agricultural drone business, MicaSense. The two companies combined their technological resources to create a package designed specifically for the agrarian sector.

The Ag-Pro package combines Draganfly’s electric Draganflyer Commander drone with MicaSense’s RedEdge-MX multispectral sensors. Its capabilities allow users to remotely assess crop health, monitor irrigation, and optimise harvest yields.

The Draganflyer Commander is an electric, multirotor unmanned aerial vehicle, with high endurance capabilities. Its dual battery system enables extended flight times of 35 minutes, which is essential when covering large areas of land.

MicaSense’s RedEdge-MX provides accurate, high-quality imaging of crops throughout the year’s seasonal changes. Depending on the calibration method used, customers can monitor plant growth, chlorophyll levels, and crop stress.

Draganfly’s Production Manager, Cory Baker, said the company is excited to bring an affordable new multispectral option to market.

“We have been working with the MicaSense lineup of cameras for several years, and have been very pleased with their seamless integration support and high-quality data outputs.

“Our skilled engineers can incorporate any of the powerful sensors from the MicaSense portfolio into our UAV,” he said.

MicaSesnse’s Business Development Manager, Drew Baustian, also commented on the new product launch.

“This package is an exceptional option for those looking for a professional-grade multirotor and multispectral setup.

“The drone’s specs and camera’s data quality, paired with a price point under $15,000 makes this a high-performing solution at an excellent price point,” he said.

Draganfly (DFLY) is down 3.03 per cent and trading at C$0.64 per share at 10:23am EDT.
