Volatus Aerospace (TSXV:FLT) landed a new contract with a NATO defense organization, which will task it with delivering drone training to support operations in remote and extreme environments.
Volatus expects to fulfill the contract in 2026 and earn margins in line with its financial history, though the contract value was not disclosed to preserve confidentiality.
The training program will cover patrol, surveillance, reconnaissance, emergency response, as well as search-and-rescue, through a combination of classroom and live flight lessons.
The company views the contract as a sign of growing demand for end-to-end drone service providers, according to Monday’s news release, and adds to rising demand from defense, security and government clients, with updates expected as new milestones are met.
Management commentary
“This award highlights Volatus’ ability to support defense customers across the entire drone ecosystem,” Glen Lynch, chief executive officer of Volatus Aerospace, said in a statement. “It reflects continued demand for our expertise in preparing operators to use uncrewed systems in demanding, real-world environments.”
