Edge Total Intelligence (CTRL) announced the integration of ChatGPT with its edgeCore platform.

This in turn accelerates the use of Generative AI solutions in enterprise applications. This is the first among many generative pre-trained transformers (GPT) to be integrated with edgeCore.

The integration embeds the capabilities of ChatGPT into existing applications to drive rapid knowledge acquisition and implement working solutions without having to modify the existing applications.

Prior to this integration, edgeTI worked with its partners like OnSolve to convey critical information concisely in all kinds of operations. In developing an approach to applying GPT technology, edgeTI employees conducted multiple experiments that evaluated the limits and operational dynamics of the generative AI.

About ChatGPT

ChatGPT is the latest innovation in the technology sector and is a sibling model to InstructGPT. OpenAI, an AI and research company, created and launched ChatGPT on November 30, 2022.

The AI model is trained to follow an instruction in a prompt and provide a detailed response. The generative AI boasts the ability to generate written content based on user commands. It has natural language processing and generative features which differentiates it from other AI tools.

ChatGPT interacts in a conversational way. Its dialogue format makes it possible for ChatGPT to answer follow up questions, admit its mistakes, challenge incorrect premises, and reject inappropriate requests.

Latest analysis by Swiss bank UBS showed that ChatGPT is the fastest growing app of all time. Only two months after its launch, UBS estimated that ChatGPT had 100 million active users.

How edgeTI will benefit from this integration

edgeTI reported that by leveraging edgeCore’s secure integration capabilities, ChatGPT can access secure data repositories as well as public sources. When users combine edgeCore’s ability to write back to applications and data stores, ChatGPT can find the right answer and edgeCore can propagate that knowledge in the appropriate format to multiple applications automatically.

Scott Lesley, CTO for edgeTI, commented on the announcement.

“Without edgeCore, integrating the knowledge transfer capabilities of ChatGPT with the tens of thousands of business applications in use today presents a daunting challenge for developers. Typically, it takes a great deal of time to implement capabilities such as these across large enterprise applications. Likewise, users have to hope that publishers and SaaS providers implement their individual use cases and apply GPT in the ways they need to use them. With edgeCore, companies can seamlessly integrate GPT capabilities within their existing applications and workflows immediately to address specific needs without having to wait for modules and upgrades of unknown costs from vendors.”
