Fathom Nickel (CSE:FNI) is to acquire the Watts Lake Mineral Claims in Saskatchewan following an agreement with SKRR Exploration.

In a press release, the company said the claims are made up of 24 mineral claims totaling 13,708 hectares and are contiguous with its Gochager Lake property

The addition of the Watts Lake claims brings the company’s total land package to 18,569 hectares.

Fathom Nickel CEO Ian Fraser said that based on results so far at the Gocagher Lake property, the company believes Mal Lake is an analogous nickel occurrence.

“While Fathom’s focus is nickel, Watts Lake also includes Borys Lake, a VMS-style Pb-Zn deposit. VMS mineralization within this overall contiguous mineral package speaks to the potential of a significant metal endowment in the land package and the tremendous exploration potential of this combined land package,” Fraser said.

With the addition of Watts Lake, the company said it has under its control ground between two high-priority areas.

Shares of Fathom Nickel (FNI) are up 11.11 per cent to C$0.10 as of 11:53 a.m. EDT on Wednesday
