FendX Technologies (CSE:FNDX) announced that its Repel Wrap film has performed well in its first real-world testing at one of its test sites.

In a media release, the nanotechnology company explained that the testing involved applying Repel Wrap film to a high-touch surface known to be subjected to numerous touches. After the testing period, McMaster University analyzed the film in its lab. Findings indicate that the test film maintained its repelling properties when tested against two surface-dwelling bacteria that can cause serious infections, including MRSA. Encouraged by these results, the team intends to conduct additional real-world performance testing of Repel Wrap film.

Repel Wrap film is FendX Technologies’ first product in development and is a protective surface coating film that leverages the company’s nanotechnology. Repel Wrap film has shown unique repelling properties that reduce adhesion of pathogens, bacteria, and viruses by over 98 per cent, thereby reducing their transmission on surfaces prone to contamination. The company believes Repel Wrap film will have applications in healthcare settings and other industries.
