Fire & Flower (FAF) has launched a co-located store with Circle K in Brampton, Ontario.

The store showcases a convenience cannabis store model expanding on Circle K’s offerings, including fuel, car wash, food, snacks and convenience items.

Members of Fire & Flower’s Spark Perks will receive exclusive benefits, including member pricing on top-selling products both in-store and online.

Fire & Flower and Circle K’s owner, Alimentation Couche-Tard (ATD), have a master franchise agreement in several provinces to operate co-located stores using Fire & Flower’s Hifyre digital retail platform.

The companies plan to expand into the U.S. upon a more favourable regulatory environment. They anticipate the opening of 10 co-located stores in Canada within the next year, including the Brampton store and two pilot stores operating in Alberta.

“This convenience-based shopping model is a major step change in the industry and provides a competitive advantage for both Fire & Flower and Circle K in the transformation of the cannabis consumer shopping experience,” said Stéphane Trudel, Fire & Flower’s CEO.

Fire & Flower Holdings is a cannabis retailer with more than 100 corporate-owned stores.

Fire & Flower (FAF) is down by 1.88 per cent, trading at $1.57 per share as of 12:39 pm EST.
