FireFox Gold Corp. (FFOX)has competed initial drilling at its Jessiö, Mustajärvi, and Sarvi Projects in Finland.

The company stated it has drilled 8,319 meres of core sampling between all the projects during its 2021-2022 drill programs.

The Sarvi Project has 12 completed drill holes thus far which resulting in low grades of gold mineralization and “highly elevated” silver and base metals.

“The initial results at Sarvi are encouraging as we encountered significant low-grade gold and silver mineralization associated with graphite-bearing tuffites and iron formation, a favorable setting for gold mineralization in Lapland… Our first-ever drill hole at Sarvi confirmed the anomalous gold encountered in our trenches, and we have many other targets to test based on the base-of-till and magnetic anomalies to the southeast from these first drill holes,” Carl Löfberg, President and CEO of FireFox, said.

According to Firefox, this area has seen limited sampling so far, and the target remains open in all directions for it to do follow-up exploration.

After finishing up its work at Sarvi, Firefox then moved its drill rig back to its Mustajärvi Project.

Mastajärvi drilling completed 10 holes to test areas that might host extensions to high-grade gold mineralization.

“It is also important that we have drilled significant new step outs in the East Target and Gabbro at Mustajärvi… We look forward to receipt of the remainder of our assays from drilling at both projects during the summer,” said Löfberg.

The East Target was reported to already yield significant intercepts of near-surface gold.

FireFox Gold Corp. (FFOX) is down 21.62 per cent trading at $0.14 per share as of 1:06 p.m. ET.
