First Phosphate (PHOS) has released additional drill results from its Bégin-Lamarche property in Quebec.

These results come following initial results announced earlier in March.

The new results indicate the presence of four large phosphate layers ranging from 60 metres to 83 metres in thickness and 300 metres in length.

Meanwhile, grades range from 5 per cent to 10.6 per cent phosphate.

“The company has now drilled 17 drill holes within the main 2,000 metres magnetic trend and all of them carry phosphate layers ranging from a few meters to an excess of 100 metres,” First Phosphate president Peter Kent said in a press release.

The company added that samples from another seven holes have been delivered to a laboratory, with results expected shortly.

First Phosphate is focused on extracting and purifying phosphate for the production of cathode active material for the lithium iron phosphate battery sector.

Shares of First Phosphate (PHOS) are down 4.11 per cent to C$0.70 as of 11:49 a.m. EDT.
