Flying Nickel Mining (FLYN) is confirming, it uncovered gold mineralization from the most-recent drill program on its Minago Nickel PGM Project.

The Vancouver-based mineral explorer released the latest assay results Thursday from the multi-metal project located in Manitoba’s Thompson Nickel Belt.

In addition to gold, 12 holes also confirmed the presence of significant platinum and palladium mineralization. Assays from those 12 holes returned 898 samples totalling 1,046 metres.

Highlights of precious metal sampling included 0.065 grams per tonne of gold, 0.221 grams per tonne of platinum and 0.442 grams per tonne of palladium.

The company also returned samples of up to 1.52 percent nickel and up to 0.11 percent copper.

Drilling on the property so far has covered 45 holes, totalling 3,710 metres, resulting in 3,125 samples sent for analysis.

The drill program calls for 7,061 metres and a total of 97 holes.

An additional batch of assay results is expected to be released in April.

Flying Nickel acquired the project in 2021 and has a full, 100-percent ownership stake.

The project does have an existing mineral resource estimate related to its nickel content, primarily split across two major deposits.

Flying Nickel Mining (TSXV:FLYN) is unchanged, trading at $0.19 at 11:45 a.m. ET.
