FuelPositive (NHHH) breaks down the progress on its containerized Green Ammonia production system and what 2023 has in store.
Green ammonia is a powerful gas often used in marking agricultural fertilizers. Through this process, the making of ammonia is 100 per cent renewable and carbon-free.
System readiness
The containerized Green Ammonia production system is well over halfway complete. To be exact, it is now over 80 per cent complete.
This means that the farm is almost complete, having overcome global supply chain delays in 2022.
Both the hydrogen and nitrogen input modules are now fully operational and is surpassing both quantity output and purity targets.
Nelson Leite, COO and Board Director, could not be happier about the near completion of the system. “The final factory commissioning of our proprietary Green Ammonia synthesis module is underway, and the system will produce Green Ammonia as soon as all safety certifications are completed.”
According to the sustainable technologies company, the system is “[expected] to be measured in decades, beyond the 30-year mark. These are permanent on-site systems that will produce Green Ammonia […] for decades,” concluded Leite.
2023 sales pipeline
Sales leads have surpassed expectations.
“With over 100 inquiries coming in from around the world, we have prequalified 42 of those to receive one or more of our systems,” said Ian Clifford, CEO and Board Chair.
One may think that farming fertilizer is the biggest purchaser of the product, but that is not the case. “The demand for FuelPositive’s […] Green Ammonia Technology is not exclusively within the realm of agriculture,” added Clifford.
“We have interest from multiple sectors including marine, chemical processing, water purification [and more],” concluded Clifford.
All in all, before more production takes place, the business needs to expand.
As a result, a move into new offices took place. 420 Weber Street in Waterloo, Ontario, will serve as the corporate and sales headquarters.
Production and R&D lab completed
Production is taking place at the R&D lab at 99 Northland in Waterloo, Ontario.
Batch manufacturing will be carried out at 99 Northland until it moves to the larger, purpose-built manufacturing facility.
Following the statement in August, FuelPositive will move its facilities to a new factory with its land development partner.
The state-of-the-art facility, up to 140,000 square feet, plans to meet the company’s needs.
