Gatekeeper Systems (TSXV:GSI), a company involved in intelligent video and data solutions for public transportation and smart cities, announced that it had received two contracts to supply Mobile Data Collectors and on-board video systems for school buses in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Gatekeeper’s intelligent video solutions are designed to provide a safer transportation environment for children, passengers, and public safety personnel across multiple transportation modes. The company’s platform-as-a-service (PaaS) business model centers around wirelessly enabled mobile data collectors, forming the foundation of its data company evolution.

“These contracts are a good example of how our strong school bus video offering suite facilitates a recurring-customer business model,” Doug Dyment, Gatekeeper’s President and CEO commented in a news release. “In 2020, we equipped 360 buses in Halifax and to date approximately 500 buses use Gatekeeper technology, showcasing our solid market penetration in that region.”
