Liquid Cooling as the Standard: technotrans Expands Production
In Sassenberg, Westphalia, the specialists at technotrans have long been setting their sights on the future of AI. The ever-increasing computing power of modern high-performance chips is pushing conventional air cooling to its limits. Liquid coolants dissipate the generated heat about 25 times more efficiently than air—an advantage that technotrans fully leverages. By manufacturing specialized systems such as Coolant Distribution Units and Remote Pumping Units, the company controls pressure and temperatures in server racks. As early as the first half of 2026, order intake in the Data Center Cooling division exceeded the total volume for the entire year of 2025. In July 2026, the cumulative order volume in this segment climbed to a double-digit million figure. Management reacted quickly and set up a fourth production line for cooling distributors at the headquarters. In addition, preparations are underway for a new building with over 13,000 m² of floor space. In this way, technotrans aims to significantly increase margins and continue its success.
Power Must Flow: Deutz Is Also Investing in the Energy Sector
Cologne-based engine manufacturer Deutz is increasingly pushing forward with its gradual shift away from the cyclical construction and agricultural machinery business. The newly created Energy division focuses on emergency power and hybrid solutions for critical IT infrastructure. The Cologne-based company took a decisive step in February of this year with the acquisition of system integrator Frerk Aggregatebau. The Lower Saxony-based company generates approximately 50% of its annual revenue, around EUR 100 million, in the data center sector and manufactures turnkey emergency power systems, including automatic switching. Within the newly established Energy division, Deutz is targeting revenue of around EUR 500 million by the end of the decade. Total group revenue is expected to grow to EUR 4 billion by 2030—driven primarily by the defence business. To meet the strict ESG requirements of data center operators, the company is certifying its generators for operation with synthetic fuels such as HVO and integrating hydrogen engines that operate with virtually zero CO₂ emissions. The combination of its own engines, system integration by Frerk, and a global service network ensures Deutz high-margin turnkey solutions. Deutz is therefore well-positioned, even if the economy were to falter more severely.
Polymetals from Québec: Power Metallic Mines Reports Outstanding Drilling Results
At the beginning of the value chain, the Canadian exploration company Power Metallic Mines aims to extract precisely the raw materials that are essential for the AI and electric vehicle era, and its plans are already so far advanced that it counts several renowned investors among its shareholders. The promising NISK polymetallic project covers approximately 330 km² along the Nisk-Lion-Tiger Corridor in Québec. The focus of the work is the Lion ore zone, whose geology offers exceptional metal grades. Drilling revealed strong intervals of 36.42 m grading 2.83% copper equivalent (CuEq), including a 6.00 m stretch with as much as 12.38% CuEq. Another drill core yielded 10.30 m grading 4.04% CuEq, while historical intersections had already reached 32 m at 7%. The SGS Canada laboratory also confirmed excellent recovery rates using conventional flotation methods. Examples include 98.9% for copper, 96.8% for platinum, 93.9% for palladium, 88.9% for silver, and 85.0% for gold. These results demonstrate that the raw materials from the NISK project can be processed without complicated separation using expensive specialized methods. This reduces costs and makes the recovered concentrate attractive to smelters.
Power Metallic Mines: Distinguished Investors and Sustainability
The capital base of this up-and-coming resource company differs significantly from the industry standard. Under the leadership of CEO Terry Lynch, Power Metallic Mines secured extensive financing of CAD 50 million as early as February 2025. The capital came from high-profile resource investors such as Robert Friedland, Rob McEwen, and Gina Rinehart. In addition, former Canadian federal minister Seamus O’Regan joined the Board of Directors at that time. In mid-2026, another capital raise of CAD 28.2 million followed, during which investment legend Eric Sprott also invested in Power Metallic Mines through his holding company. The company is currently implementing a two-year drilling program totaling 100,000 m. In terms of location, the property offers clear ESG advantages. Its immediate proximity to Hydro-Québec’s Albanel substation provides clean energy. But that is not all: Power Metallic’s management aims to make NISK the world’s first carbon-neutral nickel and polymetallic mine. The ongoing exploration has already been fully offset through carbon credits. This is likely to appeal to potential customers who value clean supply chains. Furthermore, the site of Power Metallic’s flagship project benefits from the Route-Nord, which is passable year-round, and a partnership with the indigenous Cree Nation of Nemaska.
Power Metallic Mines: Analysts See Room for Growth
Power Metallic Mines’ stock is receiving a positive response from analysts. The research firm GBC sets the price target for the share at CAD 3.00, and other analysts have also valued the stock at this level in the past. Experts emphasize that the current market capitalization of approximately CAD 300 million does not reflect the extent of the shallow-lying zones, while comparable deep-lying projects are valued significantly higher on the market. The release of the first NI 43-101-compliant resource estimate for the Lion Zone and the preliminary economic assessment (PEA) could serve as potential catalysts for the share price. Power Metallic Mines has exposure to numerous metals with strong long-term potential and appears well positioned for future success. The distinguished group of mining billionaires already invested in the company further reinforces the investment case. Investors should take a closer look at the stock.
