Junior mining company Dryden Gold (TSXV:DRY) released in-fill drilling results from the Jubilee target on its flagship Gold Rock Camp, located south of Dryden, Ontario, delivering high grades across 150-200 metres meriting follow-up testing. Here are the highlights:
- 2.92 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 14.50 m in drillhole DGR-054 , including 6.79 g/t gold over 5 m, including two high-grade intercepts of 28.80 g/t gold over 0.40 m and 15.30 g/t gold over 0.60 m.
- 2.48 g/t gold over 12.65 m in DGR-056, including 33.50 g/t gold over 0.50 m.
- Drilling also confirmed multiple hanging-wall and footwall-mineralized structures, intercepting 0.73 g/t gold over 9.58 m in DGR-053.
The Dryden team intends to test all high-grade zones across the project at depth beginning this summer, guided by a new 3-D geological model that allows for better visibility of known mineralization.
A second drill rig is mobilizing to site to enable shallow testing along strike, as the company vies to expand Gold Rock’s mineralized footprint and set the stage for a maiden resource estimate.
Historical drilling at Gold Rock reached as high as 53,700 g/t gold over 0.55 m, with more than 20 km in target areas still to be fully explored.
Leadership commentary
“We are making great strides and have now identified a very robust near-surface, high-grade gold system at Gold Rock,” Maura Kolb, President of Dryden Gold, said in Tuesday’s news release. “We now have sufficient data to provide detailed 3-D models and systematically drill deep into these high-grade zones. With the increased confidence of our geological model, we will be adding a second drill rig at Gold Rock to allow for more rapid growth of this expansive gold system. We are now confident in our ability to vector into the high-grade zones at depth and additional testing can be done with shallow drilling.”
