Green Battery Minerals (GEM) provided initial graphite assay results from 12 drill holes on the Zone 6 area of the Berkwood Graphite Project in Quebec.

Six of the twelve drill locations were drilled in outcrops and intersected significant graphite enrichment. The remainder of the holes are where Green Battery will explore on its airborne geophysical anomaly.

Tom Yingling, President and CEO of Green Battery, stated,

“Maiden drill programs on a new geophysical target are always risky so having such great results right out of the gate is very encouraging… Now that we have compiled the data from the 12 holes drilled on Zone 6, we can pinpoint future drill locations planned for the summer drill program.”

Holes BK6-21-01, -04, and -07 intersected notable amounts of graphite enrichment.

Green Battery was only able to drill into outcrops one and two as the terrain was too steep to get the drill into position on the other outcrops.

The company is optimistic about drilling the remaining outcrops over the summer as all of them have been tested and assays have shown that they contain graphite as high as 40 percent.

The 2021 drilling focused on the southern limb of the interpreted fold structure. Green Battery intends to complete additional structural mapping followed by further confirmation drilling in Q2 through to Q3.

Green Battery Minerals Inc. (GEM) is up 35.00 per cent trading at $0.13 per share as of 2:04 p.m. ET.
