In comments included in the release, Greenland Mines President Bo Møller Stensgaard argued that national security also depends on access to critical minerals used in defence systems and advanced technologies, and pointed to the company’s Sarfartoq rare earths and Skaergaard precious-metals projects as potential contributors to allied supply chains.
Greenland Mines described itself as a Greenland-focused critical-minerals developer. The company said its projects include the Skaergaard precious-metals project in southeast Greenland and the Sarfartoq neodymium-praseodymium rare earths project in southwest Greenland.
The release also said Greenland Mines’ North Atlantic Critical Metals Corridor strategy aims to connect Greenland resources with processing capacity and industrial customers in the United States and allied countries, and that its portfolio includes a strategic investment in AnorTech, which is developing alumina and other materials from Greenland anorthosite.
