H2O Innovation (HEO) has signed a new operations and maintenance contract worth C$10.4 million.

The contract, with the City of Laurel, Mississippi, includes services for the upkeep of Laurel’s streets and drainage systems and repairs to its municipal fleet.

The contract lasts for four years and brings the company’s O&M sales backlog to $83.2 million.

Laurel awarded the contract as part of a call for tenders to privatize some of its public services.

On August 1st, H2O will onboard 33 city employees to ensure all requirements are met.

Gregory Madden, Chief Strategy Officer of H2O Innovation, commented,

“The City of Laurel is approximately 100 miles north of our main O&M office in Gulfport, MS, and will be supported by our other public works employees in the region. We are really excited to expand our O&M presence in Southern Mississippi and are grateful that the city has chosen to put their trust in our team.”
