A new report by Rebel & Thorn ranks Canna Cabana by High Tide (NASDAQ/TSXV:HITI) as the top cannabis retail brand in Canada.

The Toronto-based media and marketing company notes in the Q3 report that about 36% of Canadian cannabis consumers had heard of Canna Cabana, the highest among brands measured, up from 29% year-over-year and 11% in Q4 2021. High Tide’s nearest competitor, Fire & Flower, registered at 25%.

Canna Cabana’s brand awareness leadership position was spread across every market surveyed except the Maritimes, including Alberta (55%), Ontario (42%), Manitoba and Saskatchewan (37%), British Columbia (24%) and Quebec (18%).

This ubiquity translates into 23% of Canadians naming the shop as their most frequented choice, up from 17% year-over-year, more than double the 11% registered by the runner-up.

When it comes to daily consumers, Canna Cabana is also the preferred choice, with 27% of those surveyed identifying it as their go-to shop, well beyond any other Canadian cannabis retailer.

The recognition follows High Tide’s conviction-building Q3 2026 results, highlighted by record quarterly revenue of C$199 million and record net income of C$12.7 million, while commanding a growing 14% of its addressable Canadian market.

Leadership commentary

“When we launched our discount club model in 2021, we believed that delivering exceptional value could fundamentally change how Canadians shop for cannabis. Today, Canna Cabana’s national brand awareness stands at 36%, compared with 11% at launch, and nearly one in four consumers surveyed names us as the retailer they shop most often. Alongside our record third-quarter financial results, this is a powerful affirmation of the strategy we have pursued,” Raj Grover, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of High Tide, said in Tuesday’s news release.

“We have built this position by giving consumers a compelling reason to choose Canna Cabana on every visit. Our ELITE and Cabana Club members, together with our store teams, are at the heart of this progress. Their loyalty and commitment have helped us build Canada’s most recognized cannabis retail brand and our ambition continues to grow. We see substantial opportunity ahead to reach more consumers, strengthen our competitive position and grow with the same discipline that brought us here,” Grover concluded.
