Hill Street Beverage Company Inc. (BEER) has fulfilled its first orders of Vin(Zero) to a distributor in Australia.

The company has signed a new agreement with the international distributor, representing its first alcohol-free wine sales outside North America.

Demand for alcohol-free wine is growing exponentially worldwide, driven in part by consumers aged 18-24 years, dubbed “Generation Sensible.”

Based on this new demand, Hill Street has undergone a rigorous analysis of its alcohol-free business with a view to accelerating scale, profitability, and brand equity in this global growth category.

June Nicholson, COO of Hill Street, commented on the growing market.

“Increasingly, Australian consumers are demanding more premium alcohol-free options; they want to enjoy a glass of well-crafted wine with the great taste they expect but without the alcohol,” she said.

With a strong market position in Canada, sales of Hill Street’s Vin(Zero) are expected to be driven by the quality and reputation of the beverage.

Craig Binkley, Co-CEO of Hill Street, explained that the company also plans to expand its international consumer base in other ways.

“The acquisition of the global usage rights for patented DehydraTECHTM from the Lexaria group of companies,” he said, “aimed at growing our cannabis business worldwide, has also mobilized the company to expand our geographic footprint.”

The Vin(Zero) branded wines will be available to Australian consumers at leading retailers like Dan Murphy’s, Australia’s leading beverage distributor.

Hill Street Beverage Company is a progressive non-alcoholic beverage and cannabis solutions company.

Shares in Hill Street Beverage Company Inc. (BEER) are steady, trading at $0.07 per share as of 9:30 am ET.
