Intermap signs 3D mapping deal with US Department of Defense

Intermap Technologies (TSX:IMP), a 3D geospatial technology stock, has been awarded a subcontract with the US Department of Defense.

The company will support prime contractor Endurance Group, a NC Defense Contracting company, to provide the Pentagon’s Irregular Warfare Technical Support Directorate (IWTSD) with an augmented reality platform for subterranean use by military and law enforcement agencies.

The contract – awarded by IWTSD under the 2024 Defense Budget – saw Intermap begin initial 3D mapping and rendering work in Q3 to support the augmented reality system, adding to its established history of delivering geospatial services to joint force, inter-agency and host nation partners.

Blott, Intermap’s chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement. “This award leverages advanced commercial capabilities for decision advantage in support of tier-one warfighters.”
