InZinc Mining (TSX:IZN) has reported barite results from its 2022 diamond drilling at the Indy Project in British Columbia.

In a news release, the Vancouver-based company stated the discovery of barite at the Indy project is integral to the development of improving the potential for the discovery of district-scale Sedex (zinc-lead-silver) deposits.

According to the company, barite mineralization is commonly found at many of the world’s largest Sedex deposits

Notably, results include high-grade barite – 58.1 per cent barite over 0.35 metres within 11.6 per cent barite over 4 metres – in core at the southeastern Keel trend.

Keel is 4 kilometres north of the B-9 Sedex style zinc-lead-silver mineralization and 1 kilometre southeast of the Delta Horizon where rock sampling returned 5 per cent to 25 per cent barite in numerous samples across a 1.5-kilometre trend.

Meanwhile, drill core from 500 metres to the north returned 5.4 per cent barite over 20.5 metres, extending the Keel barite trend to 700 metres in strike length.

Additionally, InZinc Mining stated it is renewing its drill permit for a five-year term.

InZinc Mining is exposed to a diverse portfolio of active North American base metals and precious metals thanks to its Indy project.

The company continues to explore for expansion of near-surface zinc mineralization at the Indy project in a new and under-explored mineral region of central British Columbia.

Shares of InZinc Mining Ltd. (TSXV:IZN) are up 40 per cent to C$0.035 as of 11:50 am ET.
