Kenorland Minerals (KLD) is reporting drill results from the 2021 drill campaign on its Healy Project in Alaska.

The project is located in Alaska’s Goodpaster Mining District and is part of a joint venture with Newmont Corporation.

The wide-spaced diamond drilling was designed to test three target areas defined by extensive gold-in-soil geochemical anomalies.

Assays from all 14 drill holes completed during the program, including 5,247 metres have been reported.

Intersects at the Bronk target include 37.68 metres at 0.12 grams of gold per tonne.

Drilling at the Thor target returned 11.90 metres at 1.29 grams of gold per tonne.

Broadly disseminated and vein-hosted low-level gold mineralization encountered in all targets areas confirm the presence of a kilometre-scale gold system.

Kenorland CEO Zach Flood commented on the results.

“The maiden diamond drill program confirmed the presence of a large-scale gold system at Healy evidenced by broad mineralisation encountered throughout the wide-spaced drilling across multiple target areas. While there are many indications that Healy represents a significant greenfields gold discovery within Alaska’s prolific Goodpaster Mining District, it will require additional drill testing to fully evaluate the economic potential. We will provide an update on our exploration plans going forward after we have completed a detailed review of the results and targets with Newmont Corporation, who currently holds a 30 percent participating interest in Healy.”

Kenorland Minerals is down 2.5 percent, trading at $0.78 at 11:07 a.m. ET.
