LaSalle Exploration (LSX) has resumed an exploration program at its wholly owned Radisson property in Quebec.

Located in the Eeyou Istchee-James Bay Territory, 88 kilometres northwest of Goldcorp’s Eleonore gold deposit, the property consists of 86 claims over a land package of 4,450 hectares.

Based on previously compiled technical information, the program has been designed to include in-depth geological mapping, outcrop and soil sampling, prospecting and BeepMat surveying.

Earlier work undertaken by LaSalle identified extensive gold-copper-silver mineralisation within metavolcanic, mafic intrusive and metasedimentary rocks, which are typical of the region.

Previous grab sample results from the central portion of the property returned significant results, including up to 25 grams per tonne of gold and 0.22 per cent copper, as well as 6.3 grams per tonne of gold and 3.08 per cent copper.

In addition, LaSalle carried out an induce polarisation survey at the beginning of 2020, which outlined a number of chargeability anomalies with axes extending over a variety of lengths, typically between 475 and 1,200 metres.

Some of these axes demonstrated a strong correlation with anomalous surface sampling results in gold and copper mineralisation, while others were identified within a northwest-trending deformation corridor which is thought to be favourable for gold enrichment.

Ian Campbell, President and CEO of LaSalle Exploration, said he is pleased to be continuing with the work at the Radisson property.

“We are excited to be back on site and looking forward to rapidly advancing our Radisson property by investigating the targets generated during our previous field programs including the winter geophysical survey in areas of established gold and gold-copper surface mineralisation as well as the new targets on less explored areas of the property,” he added.

LaSalle Exploration (LSX) is up 20 per cent and is trading at C$0.12 per share at 12:36pm EDT.
