Lightspeed (LSPD) and OpenTable will now offer integrated services to restaurants in North America.

OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings, connects more than 1 billion people with restaurants every year through software centred on reservations, experiences, payments, guest insights and operations.

The paired systems allow for real-time streamlining of information about revenue, updates on table status, as well as diner behavior and spending.

The move aims to drive workflow efficiencies in an environment of rising costs and staff shortages.

“This partnership gives management and staff in-depth guest details for every reservation,” stated Peter Dougherty, Lightspeed’s Hospitality GM. “Lightspeed restaurants are always looking to help provide the best possible guest experience.”

“We’ve seen success in Europe and we look forward to bringing these capabilities to more owners and operators across North America,” said Susan Lee, Chief Growth Officer for OpenTable.

Lightspeed’s one-stop commerce platform helps merchants in over 100 countries to simplify, scale and provide exceptional customer experiences.

Lightspeed Commerce (LSPD) is up by 3.14 per cent trading at $24.95 per share as of 2:47 pm EST.
