Maple Gold Mines Ltd. (MGM) has released the results of seven more holes from its drill campaign at the Douay Gold Project.

The Douay Gold Project, located in Quebec’s Abitibi Greenstone Belt, is a joint venture between Maple Gold and Agnico Eagle Mines.

“The results being released today continue a trend of very impressive results at the 531 Zone,” said Maple Gold’s VP of exploration Fred Speidel.

Highlights from these most recent results include 8.8 g/t gold over 28.5 metres in hole DO-21-310, representing the best intercept drilled in the 531 Zone to date and the second-best ever at the Douay project in terms of gold accumulation.

These results are expected to increase the overall grade of the current mineral resource estimate for the 531 Zone.

“Since 2019,” said Mr. Speidel, “our renewed drilling focus in this area has yielded some of the broadest higher-grade intercepts on the entire property.”

“The JV looks forward to further testing the continuity of the higher-grade mineralized trends and remaining open areas within the 531 Zone during our anticipated Q4 2021 and Q1 2022 drill programs,” he added.

The company has now reported 13 out of a total of 22 holes from the winter 2021 drill campaign. Additional assay results are expected to be released in the coming weeks once they are received and interpreted.

Maple Gold Mines is a Canadian advanced exploration company. The company is advancing its district-scale Douay and Joutel gold projects in Quebec.

Maple Gold Mines Ltd. (MGM) is currently up 8.96 per cent, trading at $0.365 per share as of 11:50 am ET.
