Future plans call for constructing a new road that will provide year-round access and taking Los Azules to a pre-feasibility study.

Los Azules is one of the largest underdeveloped copper porphyry deposits in the world. It is located in the Andes Copper Belt.

McEwen Mining built an exploration road in July 2021 and work campsites. A second northern access road was then built.

In October, Camp Los Azules was operational and in November, a second work camp, Embarrada, was also operational.

In December, medical services and emergency rescue teams arrived and exploration drill platforms were being constructed.

To date, 36 dill platforms have been built and drilling will start in early January.

In mid-December, McEwen Mining held a project development workshop focusing on how to sustain a low-carbon mine.

McEwen Mining is a gold and silver producer focusing on projects in the Americas.

McEwen Mining (MUX) is up 1.73 per cent at C$1.17 per share at 4:39 PM EST.
